TIMON USA respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information associated with your use of the TIMON mobile application.
This Privacy Policy explains the information collected and processed through the TIMON App, how it is used, and how users can request account and data deletion.
This policy applies specifically to the TIMON mobile application and its associated cloud services.
The TIMON USA online store operates separately from the TIMON App. Purchasing a device does not automatically establish ownership of that device within the App.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on the features you use, the TIMON App may collect or process the following information:
Account information
- Email address used to create and access your account.
- Firebase Authentication user identifier (UID).
- Authentication and account verification information.
Device information
- TIMON device identifiers used for registration and communication.
- Device ownership associations.
- Device names and configuration information.
- Information needed to manage authorized access to devices.
Device operation information
- Equipment status and control commands.
- Device connectivity status.
- Scheduling and configuration information exchanged with compatible TIMON devices.
The App may store certain information locally on your phone to support device access, account preferences, and operation.

- Create, authenticate, and manage TIMON App accounts.
- Register and associate TIMON devices with authorized users.
- Enable local Bluetooth communication and supported remote-control functionality.
- Manage device configuration, equipment status, and schedules.
- Manage authorized device access, where supported.
- Maintain service security and help prevent unauthorized access.
- Provide account-related assistance and respond to deletion requests.
We do not use TIMON App account information for third-party advertising or sell personal information.
4. Cloud Services and Service Providers
The TIMON App uses services that support authentication, device ownership, and remote communication.
These include:
Google Firebase: User authentication and associated cloud functionality.
Google Cloud Functions and Firestore: Account-related authorization, device ownership records, and supported access-management operations.
EMQX / MQTT: Communication used for supported remote device control and status exchange.
These services process information necessary to provide the relevant TIMON App functionality.
5. Security and Data Transmission
TIMON uses HTTPS for identified Firebase and cloud-service communications and secure WebSocket connections (WSS) for its configured remote MQTT communication.
Local Bluetooth communication is also used for supported device registration, configuration, and control.
We maintain technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect account and device information. No electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
6. Account Ownership and Device Access
The person who purchases a TIMON device may be different from the person who registers and operates it.
TIMON App accounts are associated with authenticated users. Device ownership and authorized access are managed separately from online-store purchase records.
Requests involving account deletion may require verification and review of device ownership or shared-access permissions to protect other users and prevent unauthorized changes.
Deleting a TIMON App account does not automatically factory-reset a physical TIMON device or transfer ownership to another person.
7. Data Retention
Account information and associated records are retained as needed to provide TIMON App services and administer registered devices.
When an account deletion request is received, we review the associated information and determine what can be deleted and what must be retained for applicable legal, security, or other legitimate requirements.
Retention periods may differ depending on the type of record and the services involved.

We may need to verify account ownership and review device associations before completing deletion.
The TIMON App account is independent of your TIMON USA online-store account. Deleting your App account does not automatically delete your shopping account, invoices, or purchase history.
